Tornes was a free agent after leaving Odense BK at the end of the season and had been training with Vitesse for the past week. On Wednesday, Vitesse confirmed that the 30-year-old had put pen to paper on a two-year contract.
Tornes told the official Vitesse website, “After all these years in the Scandinavian leagues I wanted an adventure elsewhere in Europe. I’m excited to live in the Netherlands and look forward to competing with the other goalkeepers. ”
The Dane started his career with Lyngby before spells with Bronshoj, Brondby, HJK, Sandefjord, and OB. He has been signed by Vitesse as back-up to Eloy Room.
