reis abHaving joined Vitesse from PSV Eindhoven back in 2011, Reis has found first team opportunities at a premium due to injuries. In the past three seasons, Reis has only made 38 league appearances for the Arnhem club, scoring seven goals.

Reis was under contract until 2016, but will be allowed to leave the club on the 1st of December after a mutual agreement with Vitesse’s owners.

The 24-year-old will now move back to Brazil with his family, and believes there will be more opportunities for first team football, in his homeland.

He said in a statement on Vitesse’s official site, “The main reason for my early departure from Vitesse is that I want to return to Brazil with my family, I have also seen there were more sporting opportunities to play in the first team there.

“I look with a good feeling back on my time with Vitesse. This club gave me the confidence after my serious injury and rehabilitation period.

“Unfortunately I can not do as I wanted. Now comes my way back to Brazil and that is good. I wish Vitesse good luck.”
