VVSB hero Maiky Parami, who scored the winning goal in the KNVB Cup Quarter final against Den Bosch on Wednesday, hopes to face Feyenoord in the semi-finals.

parami den bosVVSB became only the second ever amateur side to reach the last four of the KNVB Cup after coming back from 2-0 down to beat Den Bosch 3-2 with Parami scoring the winning goal in the last few minutes.

NOS caught up with Parami after he returned to his internship with Dutch department store HEMA this morning.

Parami said, “I think I slept a maximum of two hours last night. What went through my mind when the goalkeeper dropped the ball was did he really drop it.”

“You have to take your chances when moments like that come along.”

From cup hero to the cake section of HEMA, Parami described his life away from football, “Once a week I work at the HEMA and I start at the cake section and then I go on to customer service.”

Parami will be taking part in the draw for the Semi Final’s later tonight and he is hoping that VVSB draw Feyenoord, “I hope personally that I get to play in De Kuip in Rotterdam and I can influence that when I conduct the draw in the Philips stadium in Eindhoven tonight”.
