VVV-Venlo have sacked head coach Hans de Koning with the club sitting just above the relegation zone in the Eredivisie.

VVV had a good start to the season but they have now lost seven Eredivisie games on the bounce and they lie just one point above 16th placed Willem II.

VVV have decided to act and head coach Hans de Koning has been sacked with immediate effect. It was already announced that De Koning would leave at the end of the season but he has been removed early.

De Koning has been in charge of the club since December 2019 and he led VVV to the KNVB Cup semi-finals this season. He is set to be replaced by Jos Luhukay, who could be in charge of this weekend’s clash with PEC Zwolle.
