Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger singled out Daley Blind and Andre Onana for praise after Ajax defeated Tottenham Hotspur 1-0 in the Champions League on Tuesday.

Wenger was a guest on beIN Sport’s coverage of Ajax’s victory over Tottenham on Tuesday along with Ruud Gullit.

The Frenchman said on Ajax’s performance, “They do not yet have the maturity to keep the ball in the team in such situations, which FC Barcelona does. But that relentless desire to keep playing football, did give David Neres the chance (hitting the post in the second half).

Wenger praised two of Ajax’s players, “I have to compliment their goalkeeper, André Onana. He saw that his team had a hard time with high balls from the side and he dared to go far in front of his goal. And second: Daley Blind, he was outstanding .”
