Netherlands boss Sarina Wiegman looked ahead to the World Cup final at her press conference on Saturday.

At 4pm BST on Sunday, Netherlands lock horns with World Number one and World Cup holders, the USA.

Wiegman acknowledges that USA are favourites but believes his side will not be scared of the Americans, “We are the underdog. America has an enormous status, we respect that, but no awe. They have a very strong team, but they have also had a hard time this tournament. We will have a hard time, but there will also be opportunities to hurt them. We are going for a stunt.”

Wiegman expects her side to be sharp from start to finish, “We have to start very sharp and alert, that is a requirement. We must be well organised and have our defence in order. Of course that is a must for the whole game, but in the opening phase that is even more important. America will play more expeditiously than normal, we are aware of that. “
