After a difficult start to the year, Liverpool got a win over Tottenham Hotspur in midweek and they followed that up with another victory against West Ham United.
Wijnaldum played a key role in the game as he added the third goal late on, finishing off an excellent team move. Mohamed Salah had scored Liverpool’s other two goals while Craig Dawson pulled one back for West Ham. The victory means Liverpool are third in the Premier League and four points behind Manchester City.
Wijnaldum now has two goals in the Premier League this season, but his contract situation is still up in the air. He has not signed a new contract with rumours stating he wants to join Barcelona in the summer.
