Heracles came back from a goal and a man down at half-time to record an impressive 3-1 win over Willem II in Tilburg.

The hosts seemed to be on their way to a comfortable victory midway through the first half when Heracles goalkeeper Bram Castro was shown a straight red card and a penalty was awarded. Fran Sol netted from the spot to make it 1-0.

However, despite their disadvantage, Heracles rallied in the second half and three goals in a six-minute period sealed an unlikely victory. Firstly on 62 minutes, Peter van Ooijen fired a 30 yard strike into the top corner to level the scores before Kristoffer Petersen made it 2-1 from close range moments later. In the 68th minute, Heracles sealed their victory through Robin Gosens who punished Willem II for their lack of marking at a corner.

A stunned Willem II failed to mount a comeback as Heracles comfortably held on to move eleventh while the hosts sit one place behind.
