Willem II are into the Europa League third qualifying round after a comfortable 5-0 victory at Progrès Niederkorn.

Willem II last appeared in a European competition back in 2005, but their excellent campaign last season ended with a spot in the second qualifying round of the Europa League.

On Wednesday they faced Progres Niederkorn and Adrie Koster’s side swept aside the Luxembourg outfit.

After only 20 minutes, Vangelis Pavlidis opened the scoring from a corner, and that quickly led to two more goals. Firstly from Görkem Saglam before Pavlidis got his second.

A minute into the second half, Che Nunnely added a fourth before Mike Trésor Ndayishimiye completed the scoring for the Tilburg side.

It was a record win for Willem II in Europe and they now progress to meet Rangers or Lincoln Red Imps in the next round.
