Reinier Robbemond has been the interim head coach since Erwin van de Looi left in March, but despite guiding the club to safety, he will not be given the job permanently.
Willem II confirmed on Wednesday that Koster will take over at the end of the season, with the 63-year-old to sign a one-year contract.
Koster has already been Willem II’s head coach between 1990 and 1991 before taking charge of clubs such as Roda JC, Excelsior, VVV Venlo and Club Brugge, while he has a short spell as interim head coach of Ajax. More recently, Koster coached Netherlands U21’s and his last job was with Saudi Arabia’s U23’s.
