Jetro Willems has spoken about the pictures of him in a Liverpool shirt that circled on the internet over the past week.

After his good friend Georginio Wijnaldum signed for Liverpool last week, a picture on Jetro Willem’s Snapchat account showed the PSV left back signing a contract with the Premier League side. This picture spread around the internet and sparked rumours that Willems had indeed signed for Liverpool.
However, speaking to Eindhoven Dagblad after PSV lost a friendly with FC Eindhoven on Tuesday, Willems stated the picture was just a joke.
He said, “It was a joke. Let’s not take everything too seriously in life.”
Willems confirmed that no talks with Liverpool had taken place but added, “You never know huh,”
The left-back has been expected to leave PSV this summer but has not yet ruled out remaining in Eindhoven if no desirable move presents itself.
