Dost is reportedly keen on leaving Wolfsburg this summer, despite firing the club to the Champions League last season with 16 goals in 21 games.
Borussia Dortmund have been linked with the 26-year-old, but the most serious interest is coming from Premier League club Newcastle United, who have already spoke with Dost. However Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking has denied Dost will be leaving the club, and questioned why the Dutchman would join Newcastle United.
Hecking told Waz-Online, “Why should he go to Newcastle?
“He can play Champions League with us – he won’t be able to do that at Newcastle in the upcoming years.
“We don’t want to sell anybody.”
