Analyst and former Dutch international Youri Mulder has slammed Netherlands players after the 3-0 defeat to Turkey on Sunday.

Netherlands are on the verge of missing the European Championships next year after the defeats to Iceland last week and Turkey on Sunday.
Speaking to NOS, Youri Mulder slammed the Netherlands players for believing they are much better than they actually are.
He said, “If you look at the self image that they (national team) have. You heard Sneijder say that we dominated the game. That is not correct at all. If there was one team that dominated the whole game that was Turkey.
“Perhaps the national team still think of themselves as really good like at the level they had in Brazil .They think that they are still in the top five teams in the world. But that is no longer the case and therefore they do not show the necessary combativeness to even beat Iceland. Because Iceland show a combativeness, hunger and a will to win as in case in Amsterdam. Iceland thought we are playing a team who think themselves to still be really good. But that is no longer the case.”
Couldn’t agree more. But I also blame the coaches for trying to play a style that the players can’t. Iceland and Turkey do not have more talent but work harder and play smarter. There is no Dutch way anymore. You have to play smart if you are weak at the back you must have your mf and forwards helping. Its more work and that might be the problem this team is just LAZY. And that is coaching.
Inured = Robben (the best player), Strootman, Vlaar.
No Janmaat, no Nigel de Jong, and they bench guys like Lens and Krul?
This is not a very good “process.”
