According to reports in Spain, Marvin Zeegelaar is set to leave Sporting Lisbon for La Liga side Sevilla.

The Dutchman has been deemed surplus to requirements in Lisbon after the arrival of Fábio Coentrao. Zeegelaar was linked with a return to the Eredivisie and a move to Newcastle United earlier this summer, but it appears his future lies in Spain.

Spanish newspaper, AS, is reporting that Sevilla are set to confirm the signing of the left-back shortly for a fee of around €3 million.

It will be Zeegalaar’s second spell in Spain, with the 27-year-old previously playing for Espanyol’s B team. He has also had spells with Ajax, Elazigspor, Blackpool and Rio Ave before joining Sporting in 2016.
