The defeat was ADO Den Haag’s 4th in their last Eredivisie six games which currently leaves them one point off the relegation places in 15th position. He also reiterated his confidence in striker Mike Havenaar who has failed to find the net in 10 games .
After the match, Petrovic, called on his side to learn from their mistakes, while he also reiterated his confidence in striker Mike Havenaar who has failed to find the net in 10 games .
He said, ”I believe that today was a logical defeat for us and that PSV Eindhoven deserved to win the match. If you want to get something of a match against such opponents then you must not give such an easy penalty away like we did. Although we have a strong squad we must learn from our mistakes.
”We must also learn to keep our concentration at certain situations especially when defending set pieces. I believe in the first have that PSV Eindhoven’s tempo was lower due to them playing away in the Champions League midweek away at Atletico Madrid but within 10 minutes in the 2nd half we were outclassed by them and then the game was lost.
”I still have confidence in Mike Havenaar even though he has not scored in 10 games. We must continue to carry on and work hard and believe that everything will come right. We must hope that we can pick up more points up to the winter break and then we will see where we are.”
