With Robert Lewandowski suspended, Zirkzee was handed a start for the clash with fourth placed Borussia Monchengladbach. A win would mean Bayern could win the title on Tuesday.
After 26 minutes, Bayern had the lead when Zirkzee latched onto a terrible pass by Gladbach keeper Yann Sommer before slotting into an empty net. That was the 19-year-old’s fourth Bundesliga goal in nine appearances.
Eight minutes before the break, the visitors equalised as Benjamin Pavard slid the ball into his own net.
The second half was frustrating for Zirkzee as he received little service and he was eventually substituted with 14 minutes left.
Leon Goretska would go on to net the winning goal which means Bayern Munich will be Bundesliga champions if they beat Werder Bremen on Tuesday evening.
